11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 48.103(d), Education Code, is amended to | |
13 | 13 | read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | (d) A school district may use [an amount not to exceed 20 | |
15 | 15 | percent of] the allotment provided for a qualifying student under | |
16 | 16 | this section to contract with a private provider to provide | |
17 | 17 | supplemental academic services to the student that are recommended | |
18 | 18 | under the student's program or plan described by Subsection (b). A | |
19 | 19 | student may not be excused from school to receive supplemental | |
20 | 20 | academic services provided under this subsection. | |
21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
