| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 3865.054(a), Special District Local Laws | |
| 13 | 13 | Code, is amended to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a) The district may compensate each director as provided by | |
| 15 | 15 | Section 49.060, Water Code [in an amount not to exceed $150 for each | |
| 16 | 16 | board meeting. The total amount of compensation for each director | |
| 17 | 17 | in one year may not exceed $7,200]. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 19 | 19 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 20 | 20 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 22 | 22 | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
