11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 26.406(c), Water Code, is amended to | |
13 | 13 | read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | (c) In conjunction with the commission, the committee shall | |
15 | 15 | publish not later than June [April] 1 of each year a joint | |
16 | 16 | groundwater monitoring and contamination report covering the | |
17 | 17 | activities and findings of the committee made during the previous | |
18 | 18 | calendar year. The report must: | |
19 | 19 | (1) describe the current status of groundwater | |
20 | 20 | monitoring programs conducted by or required by each agency at | |
21 | 21 | regulated facilities or in connection with regulated activities; | |
22 | 22 | (2) contain a description of each case of groundwater | |
23 | 23 | contamination documented during the previous calendar year and of | |
24 | 24 | each case of groundwater contamination documented during previous | |
25 | 25 | periods for which enforcement action was incomplete at the time of | |
26 | 26 | issuance of the preceding report; and | |
27 | 27 | (3) indicate the status of enforcement action for each | |
28 | 28 | case of groundwater contamination that is included in the report. | |
29 | 29 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
