| 8 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 6, Subchapter D, Water Code, is amended |

| 10 | 12 | | by adding Section 6.116 to read as follows: |

| 11 | 13 | | Sec. 6.116. RECREATIONAL VEHICLES: WATER CONSERVATION AND |
|---|
| 12 | 14 | | RECLAMATION. (a) In this section, "recreational vehicle" has the |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | meaning assigned by the Texas Transportation Code. |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | (b) The board shall assess the feasibility of establishing a |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | program to promote the installation and use of water conservation |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | and reclamation equipment on recreational vehicles sold and |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | operated in the state. |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | (c) The board shall establish by rule a program that |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | promotes the installation of water conservation and reclamation |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | equipment on new recreational vehicles sold in the state and used |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | recreational vehicles registered in the state if the feasibility |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | study concludes that such a program would lead to significant water |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | conservation. |
|---|
| 24 | 26 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
