| 10 | 12 | Sec. 341.051. PUBLIC WATER SYSTEMS IN RURAL COUNTIES. (a) | |
| 11 | 13 | In this section, "rural county" means a county with a population | |
| 12 | 14 | less than 50,000. | |
| 13 | 15 | (b) Establishments catering to the public in rural counties | |
| 14 | 16 | may meet the requirements of the federal Safe Drinking Water Act by | |
| 15 | 17 | alternative means such as chlorination or UV water treatment | |
| 16 | 18 | systems or other systems approved by the commission. | |
| 17 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
