| 9 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter Z, Chapter 51, Education Code, is |

| 10 | 12 | | amended by adding Section 51.91125 to read as follows: |

| 11 | 13 | | Sec. 51.91125. IN-STATE TUITION FOR CERTAIN STUDENTS IN |

| 12 | 14 | | MILITARY RELATED PROGRAMS. |

| 13 | 15 | | An institution of higher education in this state shall grant |

| 14 | 16 | | in-state tuition rates to any student who iis enrolled in and a |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | member in good standing of a Reserve Officers' Training Corps |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | program, or members of the corps of cadets at a senior military |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | college. |

| 18 | 20 | | SECTION 2. Section 51.91125, Education Code, as added by |

| 19 | 21 | | this Act, applies beginning with registration for a course or |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | program for the 2026 spring semester. |

| 21 | 23 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
