| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 6.106, Family Code, is repealed. | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
| 13 | 13 | to a suit for dissolution of a marriage that is filed on or after the | |
| 14 | 14 | effective date of this Act. A suit for dissolution of a marriage | |
| 15 | 15 | filed before the effective date of this Act is governed by the law | |
| 16 | 16 | in effect on the date the suit was filed, and the former law is | |
| 17 | 17 | continued in effect for that purpose. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
