| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 662, Government Code, is | |
| 12 | 12 | amended by adding Section 662.117 to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | Sec. 662.117. AMERICAN PRIDE MONTH. (a) July is American | |
| 14 | 14 | Pride Month to celebrate, memorialize, and increase awareness of | |
| 15 | 15 | the monumental achievements of the United States of America and its | |
| 16 | 16 | citizens. | |
| 17 | 17 | (b) American Pride Month may be regularly observed through | |
| 18 | 18 | appropriate activities in public schools and other places to | |
| 19 | 19 | promote interest in and knowledge of American history. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
