| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 105.011(a), Health and Safety Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a) To the extent funding is available, the nursing resource | |
| 15 | 15 | section established under Section 105.002 shall administer a grant | |
| 16 | 16 | program to fund innovative approaches or best practices for | |
| 17 | 17 | reducing verbal and physical violence against nurses in hospitals, | |
| 18 | 18 | freestanding emergency medical care facilities, nursing | |
| 19 | 19 | facilities, and home health agencies. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
