| 9 | 9 | | relating to the authority of a county board of park commissioners to |

| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 551.127(c), Government Code, is amended |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (c) This subsection applies only to a [A] meeting of a state |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | governmental body, [or] a governmental body that extends into three |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | or more counties, or a county board of park commissioners. A |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | meeting may be held by videoconference call only if the member of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | the governmental body presiding over the meeting is physically |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | present at one location of the meeting that is open to the public |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | during the open portions of the meeting. |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to a meeting held on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
