| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 25, Education Code, is | |
| 14 | 14 | amended by adding Section 25.0023 to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | Sec. 25.0023. AMENDMENT OF STUDENT PERMANENT RECORD. (a) | |
| 16 | 16 | In this section, "biological sex" means the physical condition of | |
| 17 | 17 | being male or female as determined by the sex organs, chromosomes, | |
| 18 | 18 | and endogenous profile of the individual at birth. | |
| 19 | 19 | (b) A court, administrative agency, or other tribunal may | |
| 20 | 20 | not order or otherwise require a school district employee to amend a | |
| 21 | 21 | student's permanent record to reflect the student's sex to be | |
| 22 | 22 | different than the student's biological sex. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
