7	8		WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to
8	9		a close with the passing of the Honorable Terrell Lynn Roberts of
9	10		Angleton on March 8, 2025, at the age of 71; and
10	11		WHEREAS, The son of Dell Roberts and Billy White, Terry
11	12		Roberts was born in Freeport on September 13, 1953, and he grew up
12	13		with the companionship of two brothers, Tommy and Ronald; he
13	14		attended Angleton High School, where he was an all-state French
14	15		horn player in the Purple Pride Band, maintaining the first-chair
15	16		position and serving as drum major during his senior year; he was
16	17		also a member of the Boy Scouts of America and attained the rank of
17	18		Eagle Scout; and
18	19		WHEREAS, Mr. Roberts worked as a project coordinator for Dow
19	20		Chemical Company for 45 years; deeply devoted to his community, he
20	21		was a member of the Angleton City Council, and he also served on the
21	22		Angleton Board of Adjustment and the Angleton Parks and Recreation
22	23		Department Board; he coached Little League baseball for many years,
23	24		and he led the Angleton Little League as president; and
24	25		WHEREAS, A man of strong faith, Mr. Roberts was a member of
25	26		the First Baptist Church of Angleton for nearly five decades; in his
26	27		leisure hours, he enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and listening to
27	28		music, and he was known for his impressive Christmas lights
28	29		display; and
29	30		WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Roberts drew strength from
30	31		the rewarding marriage he shared with his wife, Pamela, and he took
31	32		great pride in his children, Kyle and Courtney; with the passing
32	33		years, he had the pleasure of seeing his treasured family grow to
33	34		include six grandchildren; and
34	35		WHEREAS, A devoted family man, an engaged member of his
35	36		community, and a dear friend, Terry Roberts will be remembered with
36	37		admiration and affection by all who were privileged to know him;
37	38		now, therefore, be it
38	39		RESOLVED, That the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas
39	40		hereby pay tribute to the life of the Honorable Terrell Lynn Roberts
40	41		and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his
41	42		wife, Pamela Kaye Roberts; to his children, Kyle Roberts and his
42	43		wife, Jessica, and Courtney Craig and her husband, Chris; to his
43	44		grandchildren, Gavin Craig, Brynlee Roberts, Cooper Craig,
44	45		Adelaide Roberts, Ethan Roberts, and Logan Roberts; to his brother,
45	46		Tommy Roberts, and his wife, Debbie; and to his many other relatives
46	47		and friends; and, be it further
47	48		RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
48	49		prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
49	50		Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
50	51		Terry Roberts.
