| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Dimas began her career with the city in 1983, |

| 11 | 12 | | and over the years, she served as a municipal court clerk, police |

| 12 | 13 | | secretary, and translator; she also enjoyed a rewarding tenure in |

| 13 | 14 | | communications at the Lamesa Police Department; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Dimas was later appointed to the position of |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | municipal court judge, and during her 20 years on the bench, she |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | presided over numerous cases involving misdemeanors such as traffic |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | violations, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, assaults, and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | juvenile offenses; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Leticia Dimas's dedication, integrity, and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | commitment to justice greatly benefited the citizens of Lamesa and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | earned her the respect and admiration of her peers, and she may |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | indeed reflect with pride on her many years of service; now, |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | hereby congratulate Judge Leticia Dimas on her retirement from the |
