11 | 11 | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 52, Article III, Texas Constitution, is | |
13 | 13 | amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | (f) The legislature by general law may authorize a | |
15 | 15 | municipality to use its money to fund capital improvements to a | |
16 | 16 | public school campus of an independent school district that are | |
17 | 17 | necessary to accommodate an increase in students attending school | |
18 | 18 | at the campus resulting from the construction of a development | |
19 | 19 | funded by low income housing tax credits within the attendance zone | |
20 | 20 | of the school district. | |
21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | |
22 | 22 | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 4, 2025. | |
23 | 23 | The ballot shall be printed to provide for voting for or against the | |
24 | 24 | proposition: "The constitutional amendment authorizing a | |
25 | 25 | municipality to use money to fund certain capital improvements to | |
26 | 26 | certain school campuses." |
