11 | 11 | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Article VII, Texas Constitution, is amended by | |
13 | 13 | adding Section 3-c to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 3-c. The legislature may enact a general, local, or | |
15 | 15 | special law authorizing the removal from office of a member of the | |
16 | 16 | board of trustees of an independent school district by a majority | |
17 | 17 | vote of the qualified voters of the district voting at an election | |
18 | 18 | held to recall the member. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | |
20 | 20 | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 4, 2025. | |
21 | 21 | The ballot shall be printed to provide for voting for or against the | |
22 | 22 | proposition: "The constitutional amendment authorizing elections | |
23 | 23 | for the recall of a member of the board of trustees of an | |
24 | 24 | independent school district." |
