| 10 | 10 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 5(b), Article III, Texas Constitution, |

| 12 | 12 | | is amended to read as follows: |

| 13 | 13 | | (b) During any time the Legislature is [When] convened in |

| 14 | 14 | | regular Session, the Legislature may introduce, hold committee |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | hearings to consider, and otherwise act on any bill or resolution, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and may pass [first thirty days thereof shall be devoted to the |

| 17 | 17 | | introduction of bills and resolutions, acting upon emergency |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | appropriations, passing] upon the confirmation of the recess |

| 19 | 19 | | appointees of the Governor and such emergency matters as may be |

| 20 | 20 | | submitted by the Governor in special messages to the Legislature. |

| 21 | 21 | | [During the succeeding thirty days of the regular session of the |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature the various committees of each House shall hold |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | hearings to consider all bills and resolutions and other matters |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | then pending; and such emergency matters as may be submitted by the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Governor. During the remainder of the session the Legislature |

| 32 | 32 | | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 4, 2025. |

| 34 | 34 | | proposition: "The constitutional amendment authorizing |

|---|
