| 11 | 11 | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 36(a), Article I, Texas Constitution, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a) The people have the right to engage in generally | |
| 15 | 15 | accepted farm, ranch, timber production, horticulture, or wildlife | |
| 16 | 16 | management practices on real property they own or lease. The right | |
| 17 | 17 | to engage in ranching includes the right to produce meat and meat | |
| 18 | 18 | food products naturally derived from livestock. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | |
| 20 | 20 | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 4, 2025. | |
| 21 | 21 | The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the | |
| 22 | 22 | proposition: "The constitutional amendment protecting the right to | |
| 23 | 23 | produce meat and meat food products naturally derived from | |
| 24 | 24 | livestock." |
