| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Lensey Sardar of Plano East Senior High School has |

| 9 | 9 | | been nominated for the 2025 Plano Independent School District |

| 10 | 10 | | Secondary Teacher of the Year award; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sardar has enjoyed a rewarding career in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | education that has spanned 18 years, and she currently teaches |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | English in the IB World School at Plano East Senior High; after |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | graduating with a bachelor's degree in English from Texas Tech |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | University, she went on to earn her master of education degree from |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Texas Woman's University, and she completed the principal |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | certification program at The University of Texas at Arlington; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Lensey Sardar exemplifies the passion, |

| 23 | 23 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |

| 24 | 24 | | best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |

| 25 | 25 | | in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Lensey Sardar on her nomination for |

| 28 | 28 | | the 2025 Plano Independent School District Secondary Teacher of the |

| 29 | 29 | | Year award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
