| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Kambria Groff of Bowman Middle School has been |

| 9 | 9 | | nominated for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Secondary |

| 10 | 10 | | Teacher of the Year award; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Groff is a seventh-grade English and reading |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | teacher in her second year at Bowman Middle School; a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | fifth-generation educator, she graduated from Brigham Young |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | University and is currently working toward her master's degree in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | education at California Lutheran University; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Kambria Groff exemplifies the passion, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Kambria Groff on her nomination for |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the 2025 Plano Independent School District Secondary Teacher of the |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Year award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |

| 28 | 28 | | success with her important work; and, be it further |
