| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The Junior-Junior League of Galveston County is |

| 9 | 9 | | hosting its inaugural gala, the Primrose Ball, on May 3, 2025; and |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, An initiative of the Junior League of Galveston |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | County, the Junior-Junior League is open to girls ages 13 to 18; the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | group provides members with opportunities for personal and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | professional development while placing an emphasis on community |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | involvement, fellowship, and philanthropy; after experiencing a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | decline in enrollment in recent years, the chapter has grown to |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | include more than 40 members; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The Primrose Ball is the Junior-Junior League's |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | first philanthropic gala, and it raises scholarship funds for |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | deserving young women in Galveston County; the event was organized |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | entirely by JJL members, who coordinated its decorations and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | refreshments and secured the historic Moody Mansion museum as its |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | venue; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Junior-Junior League have set an |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | inspiring example of leadership and community engagement, and they |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | are indeed deserving of special recognition for their efforts; now, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 2025 Junior-Junior League of |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Galveston County Primrose Ball and extend to all those associated |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | with the organization sincere best wishes for a meaningful and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | memorable event; and, be it further |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | prepared for the league as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|---|
