77 R E S O L U T I O N
88 WHEREAS, The Junior-Junior League of Galveston County is
99 hosting its inaugural gala, the Primrose Ball, on May 3, 2025; and
1010 WHEREAS, An initiative of the Junior League of Galveston
1111 County, the Junior-Junior League is open to girls ages 13 to 18; the
1212 group provides members with opportunities for personal and
1313 professional development while placing an emphasis on community
1414 involvement, fellowship, and philanthropy; after experiencing a
1515 decline in enrollment in recent years, the chapter has grown to
1616 include more than 40 members; and
1717 WHEREAS, The Primrose Ball is the Junior-Junior League's
1818 first philanthropic gala, and it raises scholarship funds for
1919 deserving young women in Galveston County; the event was organized
2020 entirely by JJL members, who coordinated its decorations and
2121 refreshments and secured the historic Moody Mansion museum as its
2222 venue; and
2323 WHEREAS, The members of the Junior-Junior League have set an
2424 inspiring example of leadership and community engagement, and they
2525 are indeed deserving of special recognition for their efforts; now,
2626 therefore, be it
2727 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
2828 Legislature hereby commemorate the 2025 Junior-Junior League of
2929 Galveston County Primrose Ball and extend to all those associated
3030 with the organization sincere best wishes for a meaningful and
3131 memorable event; and, be it further
3232 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3333 prepared for the league as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3434 House of Representatives.
