| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Texas Capitol Staff Appreciation Day is taking place |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | on May 21, 2025, providing a welcome opportunity to pay tribute to |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | all legislative staff members for their outstanding work; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Countless individuals across Texas have helped |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | support the efforts of our state's elected officials, and in so |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | doing, they have played an instrumental role in advancing policy |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | initiatives and serving the people of their districts; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Capitol staff are employed at the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | offices of state lawmakers as well as at legislative and state |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | agencies, and they serve in a wide range of capacities, including as |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | debaters, researchers, writers, problem solvers, and leaders; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Through their tireless efforts during the 89th |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislative Session, Texas Capitol staff have helped to make the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Lone Star State an even better place to live, and they are indeed |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | deserving of special commendation for their invaluable |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | contributions; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby recognize May 21, 2025, as Texas Capitol Staff |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Appreciation Day and extend to all legislative staff members |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | sincere appreciation for their exceptional service. |
