| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Bonnie Bell Meeks Rodgers, the |

| 11 | 12 | | former Mary Helen Meeks was born in Paris, Texas, on December 27, |

| 12 | 13 | | 1931, and she grew up with a sister, Dorothy; she was joined in |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | matrimony to Charles L. VanDeaver on October 13, 1954, in a |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | ceremony conducted in Dallas; the couple resided in Navasota before |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | moving to Clarksville in 1963; they were blessed with three |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | children, Tommy, Gary, and Renea; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, While devoting herself to her home and family, |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Mrs. VanDeaver also used her gifts as a seamstress, making clothes |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | for her family, herself, and many other women in the community; she |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | eventually became the proprietor of VanDeaver Draperies, a popular |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | service for window treatments, and she later owned and operated |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | Mary Helen's dress shop; a marvelous cook, she loved to entertain |

| 23 | 24 | | and to prepare food for events at First Baptist Church, where she |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | and her husband were longtime active members; she served the |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | congregation in numerous other capacities, and she was a member of |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | the Order of the Eastern Star; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Through the years, Mrs. VanDeaver's treasured |

| 28 | 29 | | family grew to include 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; |

| 29 | 30 | | she and her husband shared a fulfilling relationship of 52 years |

| 30 | 31 | | until his passing in 2007; and |

| 31 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Mary Helen VanDeaver lived a full and generous life |

| 32 | 33 | | surrounded by those she loved, and they will forever carry her close |
