|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Following a stellar performance in the regular |

| 12 | 13 | | season, the Cardinals dispatched playoff opponents C. H. Yoe, |

| 13 | 14 | | Westwood, Yoakum, and Franklin High Schools to reach the state |

| 14 | 15 | | semifinals; there, Columbus earned its first trip to the state |

| 15 | 16 | | title game with a decisive 49-6 win over Edna High School; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Taking the field at AT&T Stadium in Arlington for |

| 17 | 18 | | the 3A Division 1 final, Columbus faced the defending champion, |

| 18 | 19 | | Malakoff High School; inspired by the memory of fallen teammate |

| 19 | 20 | | Aleks Medrano, who passed away in October, the Cardinals scored |
