| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The Texas Rising Star initiative is a quality rating |

| 11 | 12 | | and improvement system for child care programs participating in |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | TWC's Child Care Services program; certification is available to |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | child care centers throughout the state that demonstrate a |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | consistent and high level of compliance with Child Care Regulation |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | minimum standards; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Great Beginnings is a faith-based organization that |

| 17 | 18 | | serves children between the ages of six weeks and three years; ably |

| 18 | 19 | | led by director Carla Wisdom, the program includes chapel services, |

| 19 | 20 | | meals, and instructional activities; moreover, the center utilizes |

| 20 | 21 | | Frog Street Curriculum, which is comprehensive and research-based |

| 21 | 22 | | and aligns with state and federal standards; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Great Beginnings plays a vital role in providing |

| 23 | 24 | | young Texans with a strong foundation on which to build, and this |

| 24 | 25 | | well-deserved designation is a testament to the skill and |

| 25 | 26 | | dedication of its administrators and staff; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
