H.R. No. 21
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by
only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by
Aaditya R. Bhat of Austin heralds a future bright with opportunity
and promise; and
WHEREAS, A student at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy,
Mr. Bhat has mastered a number of important skills in his quest to
become an Eagle Scout; he has earned merit badges requiring
expertise in such diverse areas as first aid, personal fitness, and
environmental science, and he has gained experience in leadership
and teamwork while undertaking his Eagle Scout project, which
involved building a large chessboard in the courtyard of his
school; and
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding
leadership ability in Scouts BSA Troop No. 9, serving as a senior
patrol leader and educating his peers about merit badges, and in so
doing, he has exemplified the many positive traits for which Scouts
are renowned; in addition, he received the Arrow of Light Award and
completed the Philmont Scout Ranch and Sea Base High Adventure
Camps; and
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for
attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Aaditya Bhat has demonstrated
an unwavering commitment to Scouts BSA and its ideals, and the
knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will indeed
serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Aaditya R. Bhat on achieving the
rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Bhat as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
