| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Christine Wan of Next Level Urgent Care is |

| 8 | 9 | | serving as Physician of the Day at the State Capitol on March 6, |

| 9 | 10 | | 2025; and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Since 1971, the Physician of the Day Program at the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | State Capitol has provided for a doctor to be on call each day of a |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | legislative session as a resource for legislators and support |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | staff; family physicians travel from all over the state to |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | volunteer their time and expertise at the Capitol health clinic; |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Wan began her career in 2000 as an assistant |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center; |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | following three years as a member of the faculty, she joined the |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | staff of First Physicians Wendover Family Medicine; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, In 2005, Dr. Wan became the medical director of |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | First Physicians East University Family Medicine; today, she serves |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | as associate medical director at Next Level Urgent Care; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Wan earned a bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | biology/biological sciences from Baylor University and went on to |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | receive a doctorate of medicine from The University of Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | Medical Branch in 1997; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, Dr. Wan has provided |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | skilled and compassionate care to her fellow Texans, and it is |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | indeed fitting to honor her for her service to the legislative |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | community; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby commend Dr. Christine Wan for her participation |
|---|
| 33 | 34 | | in the Physician of the Day Program and extend to her sincere best |
|---|
| 34 | 35 | | wishes for the future; and, be it further |

| 35 | 36 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
