| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Annette Sánchez has been elected to the position of |

| 9 | 9 | | Zone 8 director on the National Association of Elementary School |

| 10 | 10 | | Principals Board of Directors; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, For more than two decades, Ms. Sánchez has served as |

| 12 | 12 | | a principal in the Beeville Independent School District; deeply |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | committed to advancing high-quality education for all students, she |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | has championed such policies as universal prekindergarten; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sánchez is a past president of the Texas |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association, which |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | recognized her in 2015 as Region 2 TEPSAN of the Year; in addition, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | she lends her time and expertise as a member of various other |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | organizations, including the Junior Service League and the national |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | task force for the Women in Education Leading and Learning Summit; |

| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Through her dedication, professionalism, and |

| 23 | 23 | | commitment to excellence, Annette Sánchez has benefited many |

| 24 | 24 | | students and educators over the years, and the experience she has |

| 25 | 25 | | acquired along the way will serve her well as she takes on this |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | challenging new role; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Annette Sánchez on being elected to |
