| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Boerne is celebrating the 27th |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1998, Leadership Boerne is a rigorous |

| 10 | 11 | | yearlong program that provides participants with opportunities to |

| 11 | 12 | | develop their leadership skills and learn more about issues |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | affecting Boerne, its neighboring communities, and the state at |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | large; this year's class is composed of 22 professionals |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | representing a range of industries, all of whom share an interest in |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | becoming more informed and engaged in civic life; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Boerne is overseen by the Greater Boerne |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Chamber of Commerce, a dynamic organization of over 1,100 members; |

| 18 | 19 | | the chamber collaborates with businesses, elected officials, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | community leaders, and investment partners to promote business |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | growth and to provide its members with opportunities for marketing, |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | networking, and professional development; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, For over 25 years, Leadership Boerne has played an |

| 23 | 24 | | important role in equipping citizens with the skills, knowledge, |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | and confidence they need to contribute to the betterment of their |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | community, and the program is indeed deserving of recognition as it |

| 26 | 27 | | marks this milestone in its history; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 28 | 29 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 27th anniversary of Leadership |

| 29 | 30 | | Boerne and extend to all those associated with the program sincere |

| 30 | 31 | | best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
