| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Harmony Public Schools is celebrating the 25th |

| 8 | 9 | | anniversary of its founding in 2025, providing a fitting |

| 9 | 10 | | opportunity to recognize this expansive charter school system for |

| 10 | 11 | | providing high-quality, STEM-centered education to numerous young |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Texans; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, In 2000, Harmony Public Schools opened its first |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | campus in Houston, and today, there are more than 60 locations in |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | seven districts across the state; Harmony provides students with a |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | rigorous curriculum that emphasizes science, technology, |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | engineering, and math in a caring and collaborative environment; |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | its educators are committed to ensuring that youth have the skills |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | they need to excel in college and to become productive members of |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | their communities; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, the Harmony Public Schools system |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | has developed a robust partner network that includes curriculum |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | providers, IBC Certification organizations, STEM competition |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | coalitions, professional learning companies, and equipment |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | suppliers; moreover, Harmony has established makerspaces equipped |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | with prototyping tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | machines; and |

| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Since its founding, Harmony Public Schools has |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | received a long list of honors; in 2024, the system earned 51 awards |

| 29 | 30 | | from the Texas School Public Relations Association and 43 accolades |

| 30 | 31 | | for excellence in school communication and marketing by the |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | National School Public Relations Association, more than any other |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | school system in the country; this year, 14 Harmony campuses have |

| 33 | 34 | | been named State Schools of Character by the Character.org |

| 34 | 35 | | organization; moreover, the school system has also been recognized |
|---|
| 35 | 36 | | for its sound financial practices by the Texas Association of |
|---|
| 36 | 37 | | School Business Officials; and |

| 37 | 38 | | WHEREAS, For a quarter century, the faculty, staff, and |

| 38 | 39 | | administrators of Harmony Public Schools have dedicated themselves |

| 39 | 40 | | to meeting the educational needs of their students, and the school |
|---|
| 40 | 41 | | system has played a vital role in helping many young Texans build a |
|---|
| 41 | 42 | | bright and fulfilling future; now, therefore, be it |

| 42 | 43 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 43 | 44 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 25th anniversary of Harmony |

| 44 | 45 | | Public Schools and extend to all those associated with the school |

| 45 | 46 | | system sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
