| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Starr County Memorial Hospital is celebrating its |

| 8 | 8 | | 50th anniversary in 2025; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Established in Rio Grande City in 1975, Starr County |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Memorial Hospital is a progressive, acute care general medical |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | center with a Level IV trauma certification; today, the hospital |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | features 48 beds, and it operates the Rural Health Clinic, the Roma |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Family Health Clinic, and the Dr. Mario E. Ramirez Imaging Center; |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Starr County Memorial Hospital offers inpatient, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | outpatient, and emergency care in a wide variety of medical |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | specialties, including surgery, obstetric and pediatric services, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | wound care, cardiopulmonary and gastrointestinal treatments, and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | nutritional guidance; the hospital is licensed by the State of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Texas and accredited by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Services; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, For five decades, Starr County Memorial Hospital has |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | remained a trusted source for high-quality care in the Rio Grande |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | City area, and the sterling reputation it has built is a testament |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | to its many dedicated physicians, nurses, staff members, and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | volunteers; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 50th anniversary of Starr County |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Memorial Hospital and extend to all those affiliated with the |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | institution sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |

| 32 | 32 | | prepared for Starr County Memorial Hospital as an expression of |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
