66 R E S O L U T I O N
77 WHEREAS, The family and friends of Bianca Elise Ambriz of
88 Poteet suffered an immeasurable loss with her untimely passing on
99 January 24, 2025, at the age of 43; and
1010 WHEREAS, Born in San Antonio on November 25, 1981, Bianca
1111 Ambriz was the daughter of Elisa and Patrick Bernal and George and
1212 Judith Willingham; granddaughter of Mary Esther Bernal and former
1313 state representative, state senator, and State Board of Education
1414 member Joe Bernal; she was affectionately known as "Binx" from an
1515 early age; devoted to her husband, Justin Ambriz, and daughter,
1616 Julia Ann McDonald, she brought new meaning to the term
1717 "homemaker," taking on spontaneous construction projects as well as
1818 cooking delicious meals, whether in the kitchen or on the grill; and
1919 WHEREAS, Mrs. Ambriz provided full-time care for a team of
2020 horses, and she fostered community among the many friends who
2121 shared her love of rodeo, including fellow members of the
2222 Bluebonnet Barrel Racing Association; admired as a true cowgirl,
2323 she was fearless and athletic, having found healing, strength, and
2424 serenity in her work with horses; and
2525 WHEREAS, Both fun-loving and hardworking, Mrs. Ambriz was
2626 licensed in the securities industry; she excelled in her career
2727 with Citi Wealth Management, easily grasping complex procedures and
2828 systems; every weekday, she was immersed in her tasks by 6:30 a.m.,
2929 and any time a client had an account issue, she resolved it with
3030 dispatch; she was a generous mentor, maintaining high standards on
3131 her team while also nurturing her "work family"; her colleagues
3232 enjoyed seeing her videos of her daughter on horseback and her pets,
3333 among them treasured miniature Australian shepherd Slider; and
3434 WHEREAS, Mrs. Ambriz was sustained by her loved ones and
3535 strong faith in her courageous battle against cancer; she passed
3636 away one day before her grandfather, former state senator Joe
3737 J. Bernal, and two days before her grandmother, Elida Hernandez;
3838 preceding her in death were her grandparents, Candelaria Peña,
3939 Mary-Esther Bernal, and Michael and Josefa Willingham; and
4040 WHEREAS, Bianca Ambriz led a life that was rich in the
4141 intangibles that matter most, and she will forever hold a special
4242 place in the hearts of all who were privileged to share in her love
4343 and affection; now, therefore, be it
4444 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
4545 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bianca Elise Ambriz
4646 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
4747 husband, Justin Ambriz; to her daughter, Julia Ann McDonald; to her
4848 parents, Elisa and Patrick Bernal and George and Judith Willingham;
4949 to her siblings, George, Michael, Carlos, Gabriel, Jeremy, and
5050 Jacqueline; to her grandmother, Frances Moya; and to her many other
5151 relatives and friends; and, be it further
5252 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
5353 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
5454 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bianca
5555 Ambriz.
