7	7		WHEREAS, The family and friends of Bianca Elise Ambriz of
8	8		Poteet suffered an immeasurable loss with her untimely passing on
9	9		January 24, 2025, at the age of 43; and
10	10		WHEREAS, Born in San Antonio on November 25, 1981, Bianca
11	11		Ambriz was the daughter of Elisa and Patrick Bernal and George and
12	12		Judith Willingham; granddaughter of Mary Esther Bernal and former
13	13		state representative, state senator, and State Board of Education
14	14		member Joe Bernal; she was affectionately known as "Binx" from an
15	15		early age; devoted to her husband, Justin Ambriz, and daughter,
16	16		Julia Ann McDonald, she brought new meaning to the term
17	17		"homemaker," taking on spontaneous construction projects as well as
18	18		cooking delicious meals, whether in the kitchen or on the grill; and
19	19		WHEREAS, Mrs. Ambriz provided full-time care for a team of
20	20		horses, and she fostered community among the many friends who
21	21		shared her love of rodeo, including fellow members of the
22	22		Bluebonnet Barrel Racing Association; admired as a true cowgirl,
23	23		she was fearless and athletic, having found healing, strength, and
24	24		serenity in her work with horses; and
25	25		WHEREAS, Both fun-loving and hardworking, Mrs. Ambriz was
26	26		licensed in the securities industry; she excelled in her career
27	27		with Citi Wealth Management, easily grasping complex procedures and
28	28		systems; every weekday, she was immersed in her tasks by 6:30 a.m.,
29	29		and any time a client had an account issue, she resolved it with
30	30		dispatch; she was a generous mentor, maintaining high standards on
31	31		her team while also nurturing her "work family"; her colleagues
32	32		enjoyed seeing her videos of her daughter on horseback and her pets,
33	33		among them treasured miniature Australian shepherd Slider; and
34	34		WHEREAS, Mrs. Ambriz was sustained by her loved ones and
35	35		strong faith in her courageous battle against cancer; she passed
36	36		away one day before her grandfather, former state senator Joe
37	37		J. Bernal, and two days before her grandmother, Elida Hernandez;
38	38		preceding her in death were her grandparents, Candelaria Peña,
39	39		Mary-Esther Bernal, and Michael and Josefa Willingham; and
40	40		WHEREAS, Bianca Ambriz led a life that was rich in the
41	41		intangibles that matter most, and she will forever hold a special
42	42		place in the hearts of all who were privileged to share in her love
43	43		and affection; now, therefore, be it
44	44		RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
45	45		Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bianca Elise Ambriz
46	46		and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
47	47		husband, Justin Ambriz; to her daughter, Julia Ann McDonald; to her
48	48		parents, Elisa and Patrick Bernal and George and Judith Willingham;
49	49		to her siblings, George, Michael, Carlos, Gabriel, Jeremy, and
50	50		Jacqueline; to her grandmother, Frances Moya; and to her many other
51	51		relatives and friends; and, be it further
52	52		RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
53	53		prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
54	54		Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bianca
55	55		Ambriz.
