| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The 49th annual East Texas Poultry Festival is |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, |

| 10 | 11 | | the annual festival is held in support of the area's robust poultry |

| 11 | 12 | | industry; the celebration also benefits community initiatives, and |

| 12 | 13 | | county 4-H and FFA members receive financial assistance for college |

| 13 | 14 | | through their participation in the broiler show and auction; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, This much-anticipated event features a variety of |

| 15 | 16 | | activities and attractions; among them are a carnival, food, arts, |

| 16 | 17 | | and crafts vendors, the Chicken Trot 5K, a chicken clucking |

| 17 | 18 | | contest, and quilt, creative arts, photography, car, ag/mechanic, |
