| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Officially established in 1988, TAAACC can trace its |

| 11 | 12 | | roots to the 1920s, when the Dallas Negro Chamber of Commerce was |

| 12 | 13 | | formed to facilitate the participation of African American business |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | owners in the economic mainstream; today, the association is a |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | statewide network of African American chambers of commerce, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | representing more than 10,000 members and serving as the voice for |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | over 350,000 businesses; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, TAAACC educates members about laws and regulations |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | that could impact businesses, and it works within the legislative |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | process to ensure equal opportunities for African American |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | enterprises; moreover, it coordinates with leaders in government |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | and the corporate world to encourage diversity and inclusiveness, |

| 22 | 23 | | and it supports policies that promote economic mobility for all |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Through its outstanding advocacy in behalf of |
