| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, For nearly a century, the Texas FFA has helped youth |

| 12 | 13 | | develop knowledge and skills in industries related to agriculture, |

| 13 | 14 | | food, and natural resources; the FFA program is integral to a |

| 14 | 15 | | three-part educational model that also encompasses classroom |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | instruction and work-based learning through supervised |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | agricultural experiences, which may include such activities as |

| 17 | 18 | | starting a business, conducting scientific research, or working in |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | production for an established company; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This noteworthy organization fosters good |

| 20 | 21 | | citizenship and strong leadership in Texas schools, and over the |

| 21 | 22 | | course of its long history, it has produced many outstanding |

| 22 | 23 | | community, state, and national leaders of industry, education, and |
|---|

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, The largest FFA affiliate in the country, the Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | association has more than 170,000 members and is guided by elected |

| 27 | 28 | | officers who each represent one of the state's 12 FFA areas; every |

| 28 | 29 | | year, the organization awards approximately $2.4 million in |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | scholarships to deserving members who have demonstrated academic |

| 30 | 31 | | excellence, career readiness, and preparation for effective civic |

| 32 | 33 | | WHEREAS, The Texas FFA Association contributes immeasurably |
