R E S O L U T I O N
BE IT RESOLVED, By the House of Representatives of the 89th
Texas Legislature, That the Committee on House Administration is
hereby directed to convey to the State Preservation Board the
request of the house of representatives that not later than
September 1, 2025, the preservation board permanently display a
framed copy of the Ten Commandments in the house chamber in a manner
that is prominent and visible from all angles to members of the
house from the house floor; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the wording of the Ten Commandments shall be
the same as the wording on the Ten Commandments Monument located on
the Capitol grounds; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Committee on House Administration shall
provide any appropriate assistance to the State Preservation Board
to carry out the house's request in this matter.
