| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Association of Charitable |

| 8 | 9 | | Clinics are gathering at the State Capitol on February 25, 2025; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, TXACC was founded in March 2005 as the Lone Star |

| 10 | 11 | | Association of Charitable Clinics in order to provide support and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | resources to free and charitable clinics across the state; the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | organization opened its first physical office in Austin in the fall |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | of 2007, and it assumed its current name in 2015; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Today, TXACC is a network of more than 75 |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | independent clinics that provide quality medical care to over |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | 220,000 Texans at little or no cost each year; in fulfilling its |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | mission, the association offers its members a wide range of |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | benefits and services, including education, advocacy, and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | research, as well as assistance in securing grants and acquiring |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | medical equipment; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, For two decades, the Texas Association of Charitable |

| 22 | 23 | | Clinics has worked to make health care services more accessible to |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | those who may otherwise go without, and its efforts have made a |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | positive difference in the lives of countless Texans; now, |

| 25 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby recognize February 25, 2025, as Texas |

| 28 | 29 | | Association of Charitable Clinics Day at the State Capitol and |

| 29 | 30 | | extend a warm welcome to the visiting delegation; and, be it further |

| 30 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
