| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Open to married participants over 18 years of age, |

| 11 | 12 | | the USOA Mrs. Texas competition emphasizes the importance of |

| 12 | 13 | | women's empowerment, positive self-image, and community service; |

|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A passionate speaker and advocate, Mrs. Mingus has |

| 15 | 16 | | used her platform to emphasize the healing power of sharing by |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | talking about her own experience overcoming childhood sexual abuse, |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | an eating disorder, and addiction, and she is actively involved in |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | numerous organizations, including Not on Our Watch Texas, Room |

| 19 | 20 | | Redux, and Zonta Austin; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Mingus runs a vintage furniture company, Curb |

| 21 | 22 | | Vulture, and she shares her expertise on restoring and repairing |

| 22 | 23 | | furniture through online masterclasses and courses; in all her |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | endeavors, she enjoys the love and support of a fine family that |

| 24 | 25 | | includes her husband and her seven children; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Elaine Mingus has proven herself to be a deserving |

| 26 | 27 | | recipient of the USOA Mrs. Texas crown, and her accomplishments are |

| 27 | 28 | | a source of great pride to her family and her community; now, |
