| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Weatherford ISD was one of only 38 school districts |

| 11 | 12 | | in Texas to receive this esteemed recognition, which honors career |

| 12 | 13 | | and technical education programs that demonstrate exemplary |

| 13 | 14 | | leadership, innovation, and commitment to student success; the CTE |

| 14 | 15 | | District of Distinction accolade also highlights programs that |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | excel in preparing students for the workforce and that are |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | dedicated to making a positive difference in the community; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The 13 career clusters offered at Weatherford ISD |

| 18 | 19 | | CTE allow students to immerse themselves in their chosen field |

| 19 | 20 | | through hands-on learning and internships; programs of study |

| 20 | 21 | | include agricultural science, architecture and construction, |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | health science, hospitality and tourism, and manufacturing, among |

| 22 | 23 | | others; in 2023, Weatherford ISD launched the Grizzard Regional |

| 23 | 24 | | Institute of Technology in partnership with Weatherford College; |

| 24 | 25 | | GRIT is an innovative option for students to receive a high school |

| 25 | 26 | | diploma, an industry credential, or an associate's degree at no |

| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Through its exceptional efforts to engage and |

| 28 | 29 | | motivate students, the Weatherford ISD CTE Department has built an |

| 29 | 30 | | outstanding record of achievement, and the district is indeed |

| 30 | 31 | | deserving of this prestigious award; now, therefore, be it |

| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby congratulate the Weatherford Independent School |
