| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Aledo ISD was one of only 38 school districts in |

| 11 | 12 | | Texas to receive this esteemed recognition, which honors career and |

| 12 | 13 | | technical education programs that demonstrate exemplary |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | leadership, innovation, and commitment to student success; the CTE |

| 14 | 15 | | District of Distinction accolade also highlights programs that |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | excel in preparing students for the workforce and that are |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | dedicated to making a positive difference in the community; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The CTE department at Aledo ISD offers 10 different |

| 18 | 19 | | career clusters where students can earn more than 40 industry-based |

| 19 | 20 | | certifications; in 2023-2024, Aledo High School students earned 492 |

| 20 | 21 | | certifications; among the CTE programs of study are arts, audio |

| 21 | 22 | | visual technology and communication, architecture and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | construction, agriculture, food and natural resources, business, |
|---|

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Through its exceptional efforts to engage and |

| 26 | 27 | | motivate students, the Aledo CTE department has built an |

| 27 | 28 | | outstanding record of achievement, and the district is indeed |

| 28 | 29 | | deserving of this prestigious award; now, therefore, be it |

| 29 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 30 | 31 | | Legislature hereby congratulate the Aledo Independent School |

| 31 | 32 | | District on being named a CTE District of Distinction by the Career |
