| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Sarah Hininger of the Dalhart Volunteer Fire |

| 8 | 9 | | Department was named the 2024 EMS Responder of the Year by the |

| 9 | 10 | | Panhandle Firemen's & Fire Marshals' Association; and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Hininger joined the Dalhart VFD in January |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | 2022, and over the course of her exemplary tenure, she has played an |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | instrumental role in helping the agency respond to emergencies; she |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | has also attended training classes to become an emergency medical |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | technician; along the way, she has further distinguished herself as |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | a member of the Hartley Volunteer Fire and EMS Department, and she |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | has served with AMR in Dalhart as well; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A resident of Dalhart since 2003, Mrs. Hininger has |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | worked at Wells Fargo and served as a teacher at St. Anthony of |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Padua Catholic School; she is a proud mother as well as a devoted |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | wife to her husband, Jared; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Sarah Hininger has demonstrated an exceptional |

| 22 | 23 | | commitment to protecting the lives and property of her fellow |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | citizens, and she is indeed deserving of this most recent honor; |

| 24 | 25 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Hininger on being named the |
