R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kerri Adame has received a Golden Apple Award from
CBS 4 and ValleyCentral.com in February 2025; and
WHEREAS, A fitting recipient of this notable honor,
Mrs. Adame has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to her work
as an educator; she serves as the band director at Alonzo De Leon
Middle School in McAllen, and over the course of her 16-year tenure,
she has built an exceptional rapport with her students and
instilled in them a passion for playing music; moreover, during her
courageous battle with cancer, her dedication to her profession and
her positive spirit remained undiminished; and
WHEREAS, Kerri Adame exemplifies the qualities that are the
hallmarks of a great teacher, and she has earned the deep admiration
of her colleagues and students alike; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kerri Adame on her receipt of a
Golden Apple Award from CBS 4 and ValleyCentral.com and extend to
her sincere best wishes for continued success with her important
work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Adame as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
