9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Created by the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce in |

10 | 11 | | 1994, Leadership Gillespie County was formed to expand the network |

11 | 12 | | of potential county leaders and to enhance its participants' |

12 | 13 | | knowledge of local issues and familiarity with area businesses, |

13 | 14 | | schools, hospitals, government, and civic and charitable |
---|
14 | 15 | | organizations; over the years, the program has helped more than 500 |

15 | 16 | | area residents develop a greater understanding of the challenges |

16 | 17 | | and opportunities facing the community; and |

17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Gillespie County requires a two-year |
