| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The Bahá'í Faith, a worldwide religion that |

| 10 | 11 | | oneness of humanity and the equal worth of all people; and |

| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, This religious group has been an integral part of |

| 12 | 13 | | Texas for many decades, and its adherents have greatly enriched our |

| 13 | 14 | | state through their acts of service and interfaith collaboration |

| 14 | 15 | | and through their support for initiatives that promote education, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | community development, and racial harmony; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Across Texas, Bahá'ís uphold their faith's core |

| 17 | 18 | | teachings of love, service, and the independent investigation of |

| 18 | 19 | | truth, and they strive to foster understanding and cooperation |

| 19 | 20 | | among people from all walks of life; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The observance of Bahá'í Day provides an opportunity |

| 21 | 22 | | for all Texans to recognize and appreciate the positive difference |

| 23 | 24 | | reflect on the universal values of peace, justice, and social |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, The Bahá'í Faith has inspired countless followers to |

| 27 | 28 | | the celebration of Bahá'í Day at the State Capitol, we are affirming |

| 28 | 29 | | our state's commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and the shared |

| 29 | 30 | | pursuit of a more just and unified society; now, therefore, be it |

| 30 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 31 | 32 | | Legislature hereby recognize April 29, 2025, as Bahá'í Day at the |

| 32 | 33 | | State Capitol and encourage all Texans to join in honoring the |

| 33 | 34 | | contributions of the Bahá'í community to our great state. |
