| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Representatives of the Texas Prevention Network are |

| 8 | 9 | | visiting the State Capitol on March 6, 2025; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Established by TexProtects in 2012, the Texas |

| 10 | 11 | | Prevention Network serves as a collaboration platform for |

| 11 | 12 | | organizations that strive to prevent child abuse and neglect; the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | network facilitates peer-to-peer connections and resource sharing, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | hosts educational sessions, and disseminates updates from state |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | agencies and other groups engaged in this work; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The Texas Prevention Network is made up of more than |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | 250 direct service providers from across the state; all of the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | providers and affiliated programs work toward the common goal of |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | supporting families in order to keep them safe, healthy, together, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | and self-sufficient; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Among the organizations participating in Texas |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Prevention Network Day are Hope Cottage, Any Baby Can, Parents as |

| 22 | 23 | | Teachers, Buckner International, Presbyterian Children's Homes and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | Services, and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas; and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, For more than a decade, the Texas Prevention Network |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | has served as an important resource for those working to protect the |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | state's most vulnerable population, and it is indeed deserving of |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | recognition for its contributions to the well-being of countless |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | young Texans and their families; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | Legislature hereby recognize March 6, 2025, as Texas Prevention |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | Network Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | visiting delegation. |
