| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Moo-Moo has opened its third location in Port |

| 9 | 9 | | Lavaca, providing a fitting opportunity to recognize the popular |

| 10 | 10 | | fried chicken restaurant; and |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Founded by Milton Neitsch Sr., the first Moo-Moo |

| 12 | 12 | | restaurant was built on South Moody Street in Victoria in 1966; |

| 13 | 13 | | after 45 years of working in the business established by his father, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Lewis Neitsch sold the restaurant to a fellow Victoria resident in |

| 15 | 15 | | 2015; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The new owner, Mark Shoemake, retained the beloved |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | eatery's menu and staff; he opened a second Moo-Moo location in |

| 18 | 18 | | Victoria in 2017, and the new Port Lavaca restaurant opened in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | January 2025; Moo-Moo has been voted "Best Fried Chicken" by |

| 20 | 20 | | Victoria Advocate readers many times; and |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Since its inception nearly six decades ago, Moo-Moo |

| 22 | 22 | | has won the loyalty and appreciation of generations of customers, |

| 23 | 23 | | and the restaurant's new location is sure to be a welcome addition |

| 24 | 24 | | to the Port Lavaca community; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Moo-Moo on the opening of its third |

| 27 | 27 | | location and extend to owner Mark Shoemake and his staff sincere |
