77 R E S O L U T I O N
88 WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Ina Glasberg of
99 Needham, Massachusetts, were deeply saddened by her passing on
1010 November 19, 2024; and
1111 WHEREAS, The former Ina Davis grew up with three brothers,
1212 Mel, Stan, and Peter, and earned a degree in education at Boston
1313 University; she began her professional career as an elementary
1414 school teacher and later worked as a speech therapist; active with
1515 Temple Beth Shalom, she served as president of the TBS Sisterhood
1616 and as a member of numerous committees, and in 1989 she
1717 distinguished herself by becoming the first female president of the
1818 temple; in addition, she was a board member for the Union for Reform
1919 Judaism and national program chair for its 2001 Biennial Convention
2020 in Boston and president of the Women's Auxiliary of Hebrew
2121 SeniorLife; and
2222 WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Glasberg enjoyed the love
2323 and support of her husband, Myron Glasberg, with whom she shared a
2424 rewarding union of 68 years before his passing; she took great pride
2525 in their three children, Rhonda, Mark, and Evan, and through the
2626 years, she delighted in watching her cherished family grow to
2727 include nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and
2828 WHEREAS, Ina Glasberg lived a rich and purposeful life
2929 centered around her family, her faith, and her community, and she
3030 will be remembered with deep admiration and affection by all who
3131 knew her; now, therefore, be it
3232 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
3333 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ina Glasberg and
3434 extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
3535 children, Rhonda Weiner and her husband, Jeffrey, and Mark Glasberg
3636 and his wife, Emily; to her grandchildren, Marley, Jacob, Zakary,
3737 Lindsay, Jackie, Hana, Rachel, Samuel, and Abigail; to her
3838 great-grandson, Harrison; and to her other relatives and friends;
3939 and, be it further
4040 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4141 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
4242 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ina
4343 Glasberg.
