7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Chief David Langenberg of Humble Fire Rescue has |

9 | 10 | | Public Administration program at the University of Houston Hobby |

10 | 11 | | School of Public Affairs; and |

11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Each year, the Master of Public Administration |

12 | 13 | | program honors local elected officials, public servants, and |
---|
13 | 14 | | practitioners who have exemplified the highest standards of public |
---|
14 | 15 | | service; and |
---|
15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Chief Langenberg has led Humble Fire Rescue since |
---|
16 | 17 | | 2018, and he brings to his position more than two and a half decades |
---|
17 | 18 | | of experience in fire and EMS services; under his able direction, |
---|
18 | 19 | | the department has played an instrumental role in responding to |
---|
19 | 20 | | complex emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic and regional |
---|
20 | 21 | | disaster relief efforts; and |
---|
21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Active in his profession, Chief Langenberg has been |
---|
22 | 23 | | a member of Texas A&M Task Force 1, a federal and state search and |
---|
23 | 24 | | rescue team, for more than a decade, and he served as a publicly |
---|
24 | 25 | | elected commissioner for Harris County Emergency Services District |
---|
25 | 26 | | No. 9 for eight years; he holds multiple undergraduate degrees and |
---|
26 | 27 | | a master's degree in public administration from Sam Houston State |
---|
27 | 28 | | University, and he earned an executive fire officer designation |
---|
28 | 29 | | from the National Fire Academy; and |
---|
29 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Chief David Langenberg's dedication, expertise, and |

30 | 31 | | commitment to excellence have greatly benefited his fellow citizens |

31 | 32 | | and earned him the respect and admiration of his peers, and he may |
---|
32 | 33 | | indeed reflect with pride on his accomplishments as he accepts this |

33 | 34 | | prestigious award; now, therefore, be it |

34 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

35 | 36 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Chief David Langenberg on being |
