| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The Reverend Marvin Joe Moore and his wife, Mildred |

| 8 | 9 | | Ann Moore, are being honored on May 25, 2025, for their 50 years of |

| 9 | 10 | | pastoral leadership at First Church Bay City; and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Over the past five decades, Reverend and Sister |

| 11 | 12 | | Moore have guided their church with steadfast dedication and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | compassion; both husband and wife hold multiple certifications and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | licenses, and they have demonstrated a firm commitment to meeting |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | the needs of their congregants as well as to providing mentorship to |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | aspiring members of the clergy; along the way, they have been |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | blessed to watch their children and grandchildren follow in their |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | footsteps by becoming involved in the church's pastoral, music, and |

| 18 | 19 | | outreach ministries; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Marvin Joe Moore has preached the gospel all |

| 20 | 21 | | over the world, including in such faraway places as South Africa, |

| 21 | 22 | | Hong Kong, the Philippines, France, Israel, India, and the |

| 22 | 23 | | Netherlands; his overseas ministry work continues to this day, and |

| 23 | 24 | | next year, he plans to visit and meet with ministers in Goa, India; |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, A former schoolteacher and a licensed professional |

| 26 | 27 | | counselor, Sister Mildred Ann Moore is focused on helping victims |

| 27 | 28 | | of domestic violence, and she is an active part of the county's |

| 28 | 29 | | crisis intervention team for those needing counseling during |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | emergencies and disasters; she has played a vital role in the music |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | ministry at First Church in Bay City, and she has inspired many |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | people by sharing her gifts as a musician with her congregation and |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | during her husband's foreign ministry travels; and |

| 33 | 34 | | WHEREAS, For half a century, Reverend Marvin Joe Moore and |

| 34 | 35 | | Sister Mildred Ann Moore have wholeheartedly committed themselves |

| 35 | 36 | | to advancing the mission of First Church in Bay City, and it is |

| 36 | 37 | | indeed a pleasure to join in recognizing the couple as they |
