| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Members of the student council at Liberty Elementary |

| 8 | 9 | | School in the Lewisville Independent School District are visiting |

| 9 | 10 | | the State Capitol on March 28, 2025; and |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The group is made up of outstanding fourth- and |

| 11 | 12 | | fifth-grade students who were selected by their peers for their |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | commitment to service, responsibility, and teamwork; they meet once |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | a month and participate in a variety of projects, events, and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | activities to develop their leadership skills; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, During their visit to the State Capitol, the group's |

| 16 | 17 | | members will learn more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | important role that citizens play in shaping public policy; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Through their involvement in their school's student |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | council, these fine young Texans are building a strong foundation |

| 20 | 21 | | that will help them become engaged leaders in their community, and |

| 21 | 22 | | they are indeed worthy of special recognition; now, therefore, be |
