| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, For more than a century, the state's Boys & Girls |

| 12 | 13 | | Clubs have remained steadfast in their mission to enable all young |

| 13 | 14 | | Texans to achieve their full potential as productive, caring, and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | responsible citizens; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The Clubs offer invaluable programs in the areas of |

| 16 | 17 | | education, leadership development, health and wellness, athletics, |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | and the arts, ensuring that Club members have access to |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | opportunities that will benefit them throughout their lives; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The dedicated staff, volunteers, and community |

| 20 | 21 | | partners of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Texas work tirelessly to |

| 21 | 22 | | uplift and mentor youth, instilling in them the values of respect, |

| 22 | 23 | | responsibility, and service; the influence of these efforts has |

| 23 | 24 | | been felt across generations, and many former Club members have |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | gone on to become leaders and role models in their fields; and |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Texas have made a positive |

| 26 | 27 | | difference in many lives and created a lasting legacy of |

| 27 | 28 | | empowerment and transformation in communities throughout the Lone |

| 28 | 29 | | Star State; now, therefore, be it |

| 29 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 30 | 31 | | Legislature hereby recognize March 18, 2025, as Boys & Girls Clubs |

| 31 | 32 | | Advocacy Day at the State Capitol and commend all those associated |

| 32 | 33 | | with the Clubs for their contributions. |
